Welcome all to my very first blog!

This is really stepping out of my comfort zone. Even the picture felt kind of like a mug shot as we were placed one by one up against the wall to have them made. I'm usually the one behind the camera not in front of it! I'm usually pretty quite and keep things to myself so I'm going to have to work really hard to open up and share my thoughts with the world. This sort of self conscientiousness is not a trait I like about myself and I wish I were more open. I hope this class will teach me to be more outspoken. Maybe I can call it my therapy. People pay a lot of money for that.

  1. I did not like the pictures either. I read in the "Creating a Blog and More" that we are allowed to use our own picture. Check out the last page of that download and it gives the instructions on how to upload your own picture. It definitely helped me to feel more comfortable.

  3. Hey,
I know this class probably feels foreign to the majority of people right now, but you will learn so much. I took EDM 310 this past Spring, and I was extremely skeptical of it. I now work in the lab, and I really miss the class. Blogging will become a natural thing, and hopefully, it will simply become something you enjoy doing. You can definitely use a different picture, I certainly did! Trust me, this class is great, and we are here to help! If you truly apply yourself, you will definitely succeed and really enjoy yourself!

  4. Hey Allison,

I really like how you compared this class to therapy. Putting that kind of value on it is a great way to start off the semester. EDM 310 may not have a lie down couch or even come close to solving all your problems, but I can honestly say that it has instilled a lot of academic confidence within myself, and that kind of thing carries over into all of my other interactions. Hopefully by the end of the semester you will be able to look back and say the same thing.

Like Jamie Lynn said, we are here to help and happy to do so!
