I think your experience in the corporate/retail world will be a definite advantage to you when you become a teacher. One of my former principals, a former executive banker, always reminded us the students and parents were our "customers" and to treat them with fairness and respect just like they would be treated in a corporate setting. His advice has remained with me over the years, and I believe your background will bring a much needed perspective to your career as an educator. Best of luck!
Thank you. He gave you great advice. I definitely agree that I have a lot of experience communicating with all different types of people because of my retail experience. Everyone is to be treated equally and with respect. Teachers are there for the students and yes, the parents and students are our customers and without customers we do not have jobs.
